Hey guys! I have two awesome bits of news!

First off, I saw slick Rick last night! That guys is one of the originals. Here he is urging us to stay in long term committed relationships.

Also, i have made a web comic, called Benny Comic(s).
The first six updates will be the pages from the original mini comic i made for this past MOCCA festival. I believe July 23rd is when brand new content will start to be added. So if you like tiny elephants or little men in caterpillar suits with anxiety problems, come on down! Oh and please let me know if you would like me to link to your comic or art blog. I am all about promoting my buddies. And i mean the reason this journal still exists is for the few that are still keeping it real in the live journal community. Updates fridays! Check it out!

Hey guys MoCCA Festival was hella fun! I sold a bunch of comics and sexual harassment was an all time low! I got a bunch of neat stuff and got to hang out with some fun people.

Any way do you know Write Club? Well if you don't you should! Its a great blog about comics and movies and all sorts of creative junk. Also They interviewed my buddies Emily, (aladyisme ) And Nathan Schreiber.

What will i do with myself now that i have been validated by larger society? Who knows!

MOCCA Update

Hey Hey Hey. Yours truly will be attending the MOCCA festival this weekend. I will be sitting pretty at table E22 with my other talented homeies, Emily W, Zan C, Edwin Huang, Jon Mosley, and Nathan Schreiber. I will have Book of Lists, Time To Clock out, and Benny comics.

Today in class our fabulous teacher Maros Chin had us preform an exercise where we draw 30 drawings in an hour. I think it's a fantastic thing to do when you have a creative block. Oh my goodness how time flys. I am almost done with my bfa and all i got to show for it is a barbarella themed fashion spot illustraion featuring hookahs that look like butt plugs.

I made this while watching the new season of Ru Paul's Drag race. Thus making me one set of fake eye lashes short of becoming the campiest hag this side of Brooklyn. I'm not so sure if the show is PC but fuck it. Ru is so beautiful in or out of makeup i couldn't care less.

Speaking of Queens, that's where i am probably going to end up if the rent keeps rising in my neighbourhood. Hey any body out there, where should i move? Should i stay in Brooklyn? Should i move to Boston, or Portland? Or Anywhere for that matter.

I think maybe i am getting location confused with easy money. By witch i mean i have a fantasy that if i move it means an instant career, witch it dose not.

Part of me wants to move to some wooded area. When i would not be at my day job i would paint small stark black and white paintings covered in wax.

I will proably stay here in Brooklyn.
That way i don't have to re-learn where all the 24 hour grocery stores are in my 10 block radius.

Speaking of post grad fears here is a poor scan of what i would consider my first 'successful' gouache painting.

Any way what i am trying to say is that i love you. Call me some time.

to all two of you who still check this, i would like to let you know that i will be at the Brooklyn Comics and Graphics festival tomorrow schmoozing it up and handing out copies of my new mini comic Book of Lists. Its a collaborative type of thing i did with Ryan.

First 15 people get a hand made to do book!

I am working on many projects right now so that my life can be full of good things.
One of them is my new one lady music project, Thurman Merman. I only have one song up on the myspace right now.
